Winter Sports Banquet

On March 4, Robinson held its Winter Sports Banquet.

For me, it was bittersweet, as this is the last Robinson banquet I will attend, since David is graduating this June.

I can't believe how fortunate we have been to be on the team and have the top-notch coaches and facilities made available to us.

I thank everyone for their supreme efforts for our kids. I hesitate to name anyone because I am concerned I will forget someone.

Naturally, I thank Coach Hardy and his lovely wife Patty for their steadfast support of the team. Kudos to the National Rifle Association for the use of their awesome range facilities. Much appreciation to the parent assistant coaches as well.

Good luck to all!

Palmyra Match

Palmyra match was held on Monday. David and I had a great time and for once did not get lost going to the match. Since this is my last year going, it was a bittersweet experience. The kids are all so nice.

We arrived a day early and went to Chocolate World at Hershey. We went on the factory ride and David was somewhat unenthusiastic. As a six year old, he had loved it! I think the singing cows are new, though. I don't really remember. There was no line to get in and the ride lets you off right in the chocolate store. Most people walk out with shopping bags full of chocolate, but we limited ourselves to one small bag.

Later on that evening, we met with other team members and parents for dinner at Duke's. Then it was to bed and up early to get to the match.

Later on, it snowed on the way home.

My mom moved about a year ago from Ephrata to Pittsburgh to be near my sister. So the area holds quite a few memories. I will now have a new one to add.

Thanks to everyone and especially Coach Hardy!
